What Is A Zhu Zhu Pet?
Zhu Zhu Pets are a new, fun, and interactive toy sure to delight your child. These plush and realistic hamsters are expected to be this year’s hottest new toy.
These four adorable, interactive hamsters are equipped with artificial intelligence and their own unique personality. They have two modes of play for your child to enjoy. On explore mode, your child’s hamster will be able to move about in its hamster habitat or across the floor.
In loving mode. your child will be able to pet and cuddle their hamster, while the Zhu Zhu Pet chatters and squeaks in response.
Each of the four Zhu Zhu Pet hamsters comes with its own name and personality. Chunk is a cool, laid-back, and loving hamster who has a passion for surfing. Pipsqueak is an energetic and adventurous hamster who loves to run and play. Squiggles loves to explore, and is always on a mission. Num nums is a fun hamster who loves food. These unique personalities, meant to mirror those of real hamsters, allow children to pick the hamster with their favorite personality or they can choose to collect all four. Like real hamsters, Zhu Zhu Pet hamsters have to have a place to live and play. So there are a variety of playsets that can be purchased for hours of fun for your child’s hamster. These playsets include the Hamster Funhouse, the Hamster Bed and Blanket, the Hamster Carrier and Blanket, the Go Go Adventure Ball, the Spiral Slide and Ramp, the Hamster Car and Garage, the Surfboard and Sleep Dome, the Skateboard and U-turn Ramp, and the Hamster Wheel and Tunnel . Some of these sets can be purchased in a packaged set with the hamsters.
Zhu Zhu Pet hamsters are powered by 2 AAA batteries. These fun, furry toys are appropriate for children three and up. Zhu Zhu Pets and playsets can be purchased from Amazon.com.

Is there any way to purchas the Zhu Zhu pets directly? If not will there be one in the future?
i have looking in stores from walmart to kmart and even target to get these zhu zhu\’s… is at anytime in the near future to be seeing zhu zhu\’s in some of these stores?
They will eventually get them but for now Amazon.com is the best place to go. Once the other stores get them I will be sending out notices to everyone on my notification list so sign up if you haven’t already!
go to shopko.com they only sell them online not in store and they had some zhu zhu pets a few days ago cause i got 1 of each hampster and got mine today but there sold out now but they still have the zhu zhu pets starter pack in stock wich comes with track pieces and and part of the fun house piece and the exclusive patches hampster and I got that too.

I just called Toys R Us… they are receiving shipments but are selling out immediately
Yeah, you literally have to know when the shipment is coming in and camp out at the loading dock and bribe a store employee to be able to get them from TRU or Walmart. Neither of them have them online either.

I am looking for 10 assorted hamsters for my grandchildren for Christmas. I don’t want to pay $20 for each, when they are $8-$10 at Walmart and Toy R Us (when in stock.)
It is really sad that these are the “hottest toy” for Christmas and most kids will not be able to afford the incredibly high prices on ebay and amazon. If it the hottest toy, then it should be available for everyone.

As of 10:30 am today (10.16.09) Target Round Rock had 4 pets and 2 funhouses left. They are not in their usual spot, that area is empty. They are in the display area on the outter side of the aisles.

I found Zhu Zhu pets at Toys R\’ Us just ask a person who works there if there are any Zhu Zhu Pets left.
PS: the reason why you cant find Zhu Zhu Pets is because they sell out fast!
Millie’s Hallmark is where I found the hamsters and accessories about a month ago. The hamsters are selling for $12.99. Millie’s has a website, but they may be out by now.

Target, Walmart, and Toysrus are the stores that carry the pets. Target gets their trucks almost everyday. You will need to be there waiting before the store opens to be the first in. I had to run with a few other moms to get my two. Stake out the place the day before so you know where they are and the fastest way to get there. Walmart gets their trucks at midnight everyday. It is best to be there as they are unloading. Sometimes it can take an hour or two for them to unload the truck. I am not sure about toysrus. Good luck!
